I wish i was dead or had never been born.
Thats my feel good message for today.

my computers speakers are picking up radio signals. its friggin nutty. i love when that happens. i wish i understood how the mechanisms and stuff inside work to make that happen. and nobody else seems to find this interesting but me, which i dont understand.

it didn't go. it didn't go at all. its a tv captioning job and I interviewed for the same job, same place last year and they give you tests to do. they rang this morning and said they found my old test results and i didn't do as well as they wanted, so don't go in. man i was hoping i would get another chance. I must have royally flunked that test if they wouldn't even give me a second chance.

yes
when i went last time there were i think 4 tests. one was a spelling/puntuation/grammar test where they gave me a written passage of text and i had to find the errors. another was a general knowledge test. there was one where i had to watch a clip and type the captions in a word document, formatting it as they intsructed me, within a certain time limit
the one they said i didn't do well enough on was the speech test. apparently they have some equipment that can do captions automatically by recognising speech which they use sometimes. so they were testing for how well i would be able to use that. you had to watch some clips and basically verbally caption while watching it (say aloud all the things that were happening on screen as you would type them, including punctuation, and they recorded my voice) That test was friggin hard.
They didn't say how i did on the other tests.
